This means we never hold your coins, and we can never withdraw your money. Your assets stay exactly where they are - in your own exchange account.
The power of a non-custodial connection
Most investment platforms ask you to send your assets to them. We don't. Diamond Pigs is a non-custodial platform, meaning your assets stay exactly where they are—in your own exchange account (like Bitvavo, Binance, or Kraken).
We connect to your exchange using a secure API connection. Think of API keys crypto as a digital bridge that allows our strategies to work within your account without ever taking ownership of what’s inside. You get the benefit of our technology while keeping your funds in the environment you already trust. This is how we protect crypto assets while keeping the process transparent.
What Diamond Pigs can - and can’t - do
When setting up the connection, you grant us limited permissions. It is technically impossible for us to overstep these boundaries because you hold the "keys" to the bridge.
What we can do:
Execute trades: Buy or sell assets in your exchange account based on your selected strategy.
Respond to market conditions: Our automated crypto investing technology acts when data suggests a market shift.
Provide updates: We show you exactly how your portfolio is performing on your dashboard.
What we can NEVER do:
Withdraw funds: We strictly require that "Withdrawal" permissions remain disabled. We have no way to move your money out of your account.
Move assets outside your exchange: Your crypto never leaves your own wallet.

How API keys work in crypto
To manage your portfolio without taking custody of it, we use an API (Application Programming Interface) connection. Think of an API key as a secure, digital bridge between your exchange (like Bitvavo or Binance) and the Diamond Pigs platform.It allows our systems to "talk" to your exchange to execute the strategy you’ve chosen. However, this bridge has very strict "border controls" that you define:
Trade-only permission: When you create an API key, you only grant permission to "Read" market data and "Trade" within your spot wallet.
No withdrawal access: We strictly require that the "Withdrawal" permission is turned off. This makes it technically impossible for Diamond Pigs to move your assets out of your account.
Direct execution: Diamond Pigs sends signals to your exchange to perform buy or sell orders directly within your own wallet.
